Curriculum

"Education is the most powerful weapon which   you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela
Infants 6 weeks to 20 months

We are all aware that newborns sleep most of the day. I follow the guidelines for Healthy Beginnings Curriculum. At 6 months I introduce your infants to our classroom setting and allow them to participate in our daily morning circle time.  Circle time consists of singing nursery rhymes, learning about colors, shapes, alphabets and numbers.

21 months to 3 years old

We still use Healthy Beginnings Curriculum for this age group. The children are fully engaged with a planned daily learning schedule and learning while at play. We continue with morning circle time to review the basics and then branch on to a more detailed instruction at their level. I will send home weekend homework to allow parents to engage their children with the lessons taught from the week.

At this level I utilize Teaching Strategies, "The Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care".  We work on perfecting our knowledge of alphabet recognition, phonics, colors, numbers, shapes, social, fine and gross motor skills. Homework packets are sent home every Monday.
